Appointment Times: There always is a waitlist for psycho-educational assessments. The wait time will vary. Please call to inquire about the current length of the waitlist.

Fees: The hourly fee is $240. Fees are in line with recommendations made by the B.C. Psychological Association. Many individuals have coverage for psychological services under their private health insurance plans. Check your plan to see what your coverage is for a Registered Psychologist.

Fees not covered by insurance are tax deductible as a medical expense. Payment by e-transfer is preferred. Payment also can be made by cash or cheque. Credit card payments are accepted, with a 3% additional fee.

Psycho-educational Assessments: Assessments are completed through a process involving interviews, face-to-face testing, take-home questionnaires, scoring of test responses, personal feedback, school liaison, and provision of a thorough written report. The  flat rate fee for an assessment, based on the hourly rate, and typical time of completion, is $3720. On occasion, an abbreviated, or ‘screening’ assessment will meet a client’s needs.

For many years, I have worked with and supervise a highly skilled colleague, Karen Mortimer, M.Ed., Licensed School Psychologist #3117. Ms. Mortimer also is available to do psych-ed assessments. Please call for more information.

Confidentiality: Confidentiality is strictly upheld. Information may be released to other professionals only with your written consent. More details regarding confidentiality and its limits will be available to clients when they read and sign a consent form at their first session.
