I have recently moved offices! I am now at 1701-805 West Broadway in Vancouver. Everything else remains the same.
I have had a small private practice in North Vancouver and/or Vancouver since September, 2000. Prior to that, I worked as a Psychologist in Ontario, from 1994-1999. My current practice focuses on psycho-educational assessments for children, adolescents and young adults.
Assessments of cognitive, academic, emotional and/or behavioural functioning are helpful in clarifying issues such as school problems, learning disabilities, memory problems, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), giftedness, developmental delays, and intellectual disabilities.
Psycho-educational assessments involve a series of appointments. The initial appointment is with parents, to complete a thorough developmental history. Sometimes, older teens will attend this initial appointment as well. Students then attend three to four testing sessions. Usually, teachers are asked for their observations. Finally, at the feedback session, results of the assessment are communicated to parents, and recommendations will be discussed. A thorough assessment report will be provided. Usually the intake and feedback meetings are conducted via Zoom although in-office meetings are also an option.
